WHAT THE CLIENT SAID
For our most recent warehouse build, after careful consideration and interaction with several other established racking companies, we chose AlphaStor Ltd to supply and install the pallet racking system into our 50,000 sq ft building in Cheshire.
The final price is always a major deciding factor and AlphaStor were able to offer a UK-manufactured system for a competitive price vs other providers. We also needed to have the confidence that the racking company could deliver the project on-time, on-budget, and to be able to work with other contractors & trades to ensure a smooth project delivery. With AlphaStor already carrying out our racking inspections and repairs, their professionalism and attention to detail gave us the confidence we needed.
From point of order, the project was carefully managed throughout. Brendan visited the site at least 3 times a week and kept me updated when required. Despite having many racking installations from other manufacturers and distributors, we had not seen this level of project management or co-ordination
on site before.
The biggest challenge came when our client changed the specification of what they needed us to store.
Through careful re-organisation of the installation and their relationship with the UK manufacturer,
AlphaStor were able to order the additional racking materials and make these changes. This added only 4 days to the original build time, even though there should have been a 6-week lead time for delivery. This is where choosing UK manufactured equipment is a huge benefit.
The finalised completed project is excellent with great attention to detail. Our operations director who’s worked with us for over 30 years, said that this is the best racking installation he has ever seen.
Having overseen many racking installations from various suppliers myself, I would say that above and beyond a good price, AlphaStor has provided a combination of well thought out design, a great UK manufactured product, excellent installation, and above all, peace of mind.
