After a racking inspection

What happens after the racking inspections?

At AlphaStor, our SARI (SEMA Approved Racking Inspector) provides the highest level of inspection. They will provide a full report that includes:

  • A brief description of your racking system, including manufacturer, specification and general conditions.
  • A brief outline of your warehouse and any identified potential risks.
  • Details of any issues which do not comply with SEMA guidelines, including clearances and capacities.

The report will include a list of all of the damages to the racking using a traffic light system:

Green = Cosmetic damage, continue to observe.

Amber = Damaged, offload pallets within 4 weeks.

Red = Damaged, offload immediately.

All Red risks will be listed and given to our client before the inspector leaves the site.

A list of all of the components required for the damages will be provided. Including the brand, the specification and the dimensions of the component.

We will follow up with a quote for all the components and labour needed to complete the racking repairs. Approximately 1-2 weeks afterwards.
